He attended Dana School of Music for Classical Music Composition and learned the art of recording, mixing and mastering from a Grammy nominated musician and a Hollywood sound designer. He has created immersive media content for planetarium theaters and presentations for inventors and entrepreneurs.

Sound and picture go together, hand in hand. Great visuals can be diminished by poor quality audio and great sounding audio can be minimized by poor quality visuals. Original Music & Sound Design

Example of original music and sound design and audio post production for the Vox Visuals film “Remember” concept trailer.

Storyline: Pastor Bruce is feeling overwhelmed with despair, loneliness, and abandonment. Isaiah Owens comes to him in his time of need, delivering a message that hope still exists. Drawing on the stories of Adam, King David, and Jesus from the Bible, Isaiah suggests Pastor Bruce turn to faith in God as a means of saving himself from ultimate destruction. Although it may be hard for him to find his way back from the edge, this act of faith can help him overcome these feelings of loneliness and despair and ultimately save his life.

A Jonathan Sawyer film. This powerful documentary is in memory of those we have lost to suicide. With the increasing number of suicides, this film seeks to bring awareness regarding suicide and provide resources for those who are still struggling.

Troy McClellan has also won the Award of Excellence for best original score in the 2024 Best Shorts Competition.

Prairie Sunrise was composed using an iPad with the StaffPad app. The notes, articulations and dynamics were written directly on the staves just as it would have been done on paper. This incredible technology allows for amazing playback of the score.
